Virginia de Diego (Madrid, 1983) is a multidisciplinar artist and graphic designer. PhD candidate in Fine Arts, nowadays combines her investigation and art work with her ‘duties’ as founder and creative director of Sandwich Mixto (a mixed space devoutly dedicated to experimental art and design, local culture and self publishing culture, located in an old fruit stall in the traditional market of Antón Martín, Madrid) and her work as professor.
She has worked with Jana Leo and Lara Almárcegui for ‘Test Madrid’ and ‘Madrid Abierto’; her fist group exhibition was ‘Circuitos’ in 2006. In 2012 she had her first solo show at PhotoEspaña with Ich bin eine Ruine, previously granted by Comunidad de Madrid, exhibited again in 2015 in 'Inéditos 2015' at Casa Encendida and in 'DIWO' at Centro Centro. In 2015 her project Clear the Path! was granted by Nida Art Colony (Lithuania), Taller Omnivoros and Injuve Madrid.
