La Favorita is part of an intimate story marked by an early experience of transgression within the family, characterized by profoundly asymmetrical power relations and a sustained silence within the subconscious sphere. The work refuses to directly name what happened, operating instead through gaps, displacements, and zones of the unspeakable that shape the construction of memory.
It is precisely through a gesture of subtraction that the data fragment and transform into confetti, dispersing any possibility of linear or totalizing reading. Thus, it starts from a personal and traumatic dimension to reach a broader questioning of what the artist calls the "pornographic regime of evidence": a logic that demands exposure and proof, questioning what becomes visible, how memory is organized, and who does or does not hold the authority and power to produce a narrative recognized as true.
